Fuyao Glass America, Inc. donates KUKA robots to the MVCTC RAMTEC facility as part of the new partnership between both organizations.
The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative (RAMTEC) Facility on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Many honored guests attended the dedication ceremony to help celebrate the impact this new facility will have on the Miami Valley Workforce.
In August of 2014, an Ohio Straight A Fund Grant was awarded to career center partners to create nine Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative (RAMTEC) facilities in Ohio. The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is the Miami Valley’s regional RAMTEC facility providing training opportunities to a 12 county area.
FANUC America Corporation released a new YouTube video about RAMTEC’s certified robotics and CNC education program dedicated to helping create the next-generation workforce. RAMTEC, which stands for Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative, uses FANUC industrial robots, CNCs and ROBODRILLs to technically train students for high-skilled careers.
The first RAMTEC @MVCTC robot was delivered on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. The Yaskawa Robot will soon be a part of the new RAMTEC @MVCTC facility.
Four of the largest robotics companies in the world are already partnering with RAMTEC to create curriculum, affordable training, and the certifications. FANUC Robotics, Yaskawa/Motoman, FANUC CNC, and Lincoln Electric supply the highest percentage of Advanced Manufacturing equipment to the Automation Industry. Students, both high school and adult, attending RAMTEC @ MVCTC will receive training and the opportunity to earn certifications on equipment from all four of these companies.
