MVCTC Alumni "Couple" Success Story - Zach and Mindy Music attended MVCTC in the early 2000s. Zach completed the Automotive Technology program in 2001, and Mindy completed the Dental Assisting program in 2002. Both are from Tri-County North.
After attending MVCTC, Zach earned an associate's degree in Applied Science from the GM ASEP program for Automotive Tech in 2004. He is now the proud business owner of Music Automotive in Brookville.
After attending Sinclair College, Mindy earned her Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) certification. She is employed as an EFDA for Dr. Dwaine E. Valentine DDS, inc.
How did MCJVS/MVCTC help you to be successful?
Mindy shared, " I am an EFDA for Dr. Dwaine Valentine in Brookville, Ohio. I have been employed there since 2016 and have been a dental assistant now for 20 years! Zach owns his own auto mechanic shop in Brookville, Ohio, Music's Automotive. It opened in 2016. He is VP of the Brookville Chamber of Commerce and has recently been elected Perry Township Trustee. Zach helped ASE certify the MVCTC Auto Tech Program and currently employs four MVCTC Auto Tech graduates (including himself) in his shop. He was also a student ambassador for MVCTC.
I can't speak for Zach, but I know that for me MVCTC opened my eyes up to a much bigger world. I was given the tools to find employment, and it gave me hope for a future in a reliable trade. I never thought I would attend college, and I was leaps and bounds ahead of my peers when I graduated from MVCTC. My husband and I often talk of the success that we have that all started at MVCTC. We cannot be more thankful!"
