MVCTC Alumni Success Story - Christina Arnett Dental Assisting Class of 2015 from Preble Shawnee.
Christina is the Treatment Coordinator for Beavercreek Orthodontics. She shared, "Currently, I am a treatment coordinator at Beavercreek Orthodontics. Before this, I was an orthodontic technician for five years which gave me the experience and knowledge to help guide family's through the orthodontic process, which is constantly evolving. I run the consults with our doctor, Dr. Domm. Before the consult, I build out the patient's 3D x-ray and then meet the patient to go over their concerns and walk them through either a phase 1, phase 2 process or if they're ready braces or Invisalign. Once the doctor comes into the treatment room, she goes over the treatment plan and then exits. I then go over with the patient exactly what the doctor's plans are, what certain appliances do, and just make sure everyone in the room feels comfortable and knowledgeable enough to understand the treatment we want to provide. When the treatment plan is understood, I proceed with the financial option for the said treatment plan."
How did MCJVS/MVCTC help you to be successful?
"MVCTC helped me become successful by allowing me the opportunity to graduate with my CODA ( certified Ohio dental assistant certification ) before I even graduated high school. It also gave me the opportunity to join the workforce by helping me find an office to co-op at, which really brought everything to life that I was learning in school. In addition, I gained lifelong friendships who share my passion and love of teeth, and I will always be an MVCTC advocate!"
