MVCTC Alumni Success Story - Paisley Jones Sports Management & Marketing Class of 2017 from Brookville.
Paisley earned her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Sinclair Community College (2019) and her Bachelor's degree of Technical and Applied Studies in Graphic Design from Wright State University- Lake Campus (2021). She is employed as the Marketing and Social Media Content Manager for Your1DayFloor.com.
How did MCJVS/MVCTC help you to be successful?
"MVCTC gave me the opportunity to explore the realm of marketing while continuing to embrace my love for sports and entertainment. I firmly believe that had I not attended MVCTC, I would not have confirmed that marketing is what I wanted to do with my career and adulthood. Mr. Gueth does an excellent job at preparing each and every student in the class by challenging them in ALL aspects of business. By learning the Adobe Creative Suite programs and the basics of HTML coding at an early age, I had a leg up against some of my peers in my college courses. In addition, MVCTC requiring a career passport for graduation prepared me for creating a portfolio that is almost ALWAYS necessary as a graphic designer. Not only that, having a career technical school on my resume has really made me stand out. Employers love when they can tell that you have a passion for what you do, and that's exactly what I have; a passion for being creative and using my creativity in advertising!
MVCTC was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. It brought out the best of this small-town girl by exposing me to diversity and making me quickly realize that networking is one of the greatest strengths a person can have! I'm continuously thankful for the number 1 thing that MVCTC taught me, and that is to BE YOURSELF!"
