Good afternoon, MVCTC Students, Parents and Staff,

First, Governor DeWine has closed school campuses across the state of Ohio for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Ohio school districts will continue providing online instruction until the last day of school per their Board approved calendar.

For MVCTC, that means the official last day for seniors will remain Friday, May 15th. Instructors will continue to provide online assignments up to Tuesday, May 5th. Seniors will then have from May 5th until their last day, May 15th, to complete online assignments.

Junior students’ last day will still be on Tuesday, May 19th. Instructors will continue to provide online assignments up to Tuesday, May 12th. Juniors will then have from May 12th until their last day, May 19th, to complete online assignments.

Second, MVCTC has a 1 to 1 laptop program in place where each student receives a laptop for the two years they attend MVCTC. Students have been using these devices as we have shifted to online learning due to COVID-19. At the end of this school year, Seniors will be able to keep their laptops permanently. Junior students will keep their laptops over the summer and will use them upon their return to campus in August.

Lastly, there will be additional updates provided by the end of this week and into early next week. The district will be sharing information related to student access to campus to pick up personal items and information relating to the Senior Recognition Ceremony. Please remember to check MVCTC’s FAQ page for updates and submit any questions to QUESTIONS@MVCTC.COM.

Thank you and have a great day!
