Englewood, Ohio - Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Graphic Arts senior, Jenna Wilson (Eaton), won the Grand Prize in The Montgomery County Drug-Free Coalition’s 2018 Poster and Poetry Contest. She earned a $100 cash prize, plus a college scholarship of her choice (subject to acceptance and enrollment): nine credit hours at Sinclair Community College, $2,000 for Wright State University, or $5,000 for the University of Dayton and also a digital tablet. Jenna’s marker artwork was one of 148 entries designed to bring awareness to the heroin/opioid epidemic with the theme “Saving our Community.” Jenna was presented the award at the awards ceremony held on March 8, 2018, at the Dayton Metro Library. Thank you to Jenna’s English teacher, Lisa Werbrich who encouraged Jenna to enter the contest and was also present at the ceremony.
