MVCTC Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) inducted 80 students into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on Sunday, March 18, 2018. The NTHS students, as well as their honored educators from MVCTC and their partner school district, were recognized in a ceremony at MVCTC in front of family and friends.

 

Students are selected for NTHS based on the following requirements: a 3.75-grade point average or higher, 97 percent attendance, passed all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test and instructor recommendations. Each of the 2017 inductees is the recipient of a $500 scholarship made possible by the MVCTC Education Foundation. 

·         Kayanna Adams (Carlisle) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Barnett (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mrs. Williams (Carlisle). Kayanna is the daughter of Denise Adams of Franklin.

·         Stephenie Albright (Northmont) enrolled in the Animal Care & Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Blauvelt (Animal Care & Management instructor) and Mr. Dakin (Northmont). Stephenie is the daughter of Steve Albright and Peggy Albright of Clayton.

·         Kaitlyn Antonides (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as most significant educators, Dr. Nealeigh (Veterinary Science instructor) and Mrs. Aukerman (Milton-Union). Kaitlyn is the daughter of Dan Antonides and JoAnn Antonides of West Milton.

·         Liv Baldasare (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Matt Money (Sports Medicine instructor) and Mr. Williams (Tri-County North). Liv is the daughter of Dawn Baldasare of Lewisburg.

·         Morelia Balli (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Medical Office Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Rusty Sink (Medical Office Management instructor) and Mr. Zeyen (Huber Heights). Morelia is the daughter of Marcos and Maribel Balli of Huber Heights.

·         Chantel Banks (Carlisle) enrolled in the Firefighter/EMS program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. John Shaw (Firefighter/EMS instructor) and Mrs. Nettling (Carlisle). Chantel is the daughter of Brian and April Banks of Carlisle.

·         Travis Blanton (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Natural Resources Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Mullen (former Natural Resources Management instructor) and Mrs. Allison Derringer (Twin Valley South). Travis is the son of Dick Lentz and Becky Lentz of West Alexandria.

·         Cole Booghier (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Game Programming & Web Applications program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Tiffany Minton (English instructor) and Mr. Pelfrey (Huber Heights). Cole is the son of Nicole Dinwiddle of Huber Heights.

·         Alexa Boone (New Lebanon) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Deaton (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mr. Tipton (New Lebanon). Alexa is the daughter of Craig and Tamara Boone of New Lebanon.

·         James Bowman (Carlisle) enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Sandra Welborn (Criminal Justice instructor) and Mr. Sprandel (Carlisle). James is the son of James and Kimberly Bowman of Carlisle.

·         Zane Brehm (Arcanum) enrolled in the Diesel Power Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Larry Seibel (Diesel Power Technologies instructor) and Mr. Stephan (Arcanum). Zane is the son of Kelly and Nancy Brehm of Arcanum.

·         Mariah Brewer (Eaton) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mrs. Becca Holbrook (Eaton). Mariah is the daughter of Greg and Jill Brewer of Camden.

·         Ashley Brown (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Jeannine Geise (English instructor) and Mrs. Lawson (Preble Shawnee). Ashley is the daughter of Brian and Tammy Richards of Eaton.

·         Cameron Carter (Vandalia-Butler) enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Brenda Wheat (Math instructor) and Mrs. Horner-Sherman (Vandalia Butler). Cameron is the son of Skip Carter and Jill Priest of Vandalia.

Taylor is the daughter of Calvin Logsdon and Angela Brock of West Milton.

·         Alexis Cradlebaugh (Valley View) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jack Spitler (Graphic Commercial Art instructor) and Mrs. Weaver (Valley View). Alexis is the daughter of Chad and Jen Cradlebaugh of Germantown.

·         Chelsea Cruze (Eaton) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Christa Nealeigh (Veterinary Science instructor) and Mrs. Melling (Eaton). Chelsea is the daughter of Chris and Angie Cruze of Eaton.

·         Michaela Dalrymple (Carlisle) enrolled in the Precision Machining program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Mike Deeter (Precision Machining instructor) and Ms. Hoffman (Carlisle). Michaela is the daughter of Keith and Debi Dalrymple of Carlisle.

Miranda is the daughter of Keith and Debi Dalrymple of Carlisle.

·         Megan Davis (Arcanum) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Photography program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Mark Brockman (Math instructor) and Mrs. Wiseman (Arcanum). Megan is the daughter of Mark and Kim Davis of Arcanum.

·         Fletcher Durham (Eaton) enrolled in the Architectural Design program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Tracy Hetrick (Guidance Counselor) and Mr. Kochensparger (Eaton). Fletcher is the son of Phil and Nancy Durham of Eaton.

·         Sydney Eldridge (Miamisburg) enrolled in the Graphic Commerical Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Lisa Werbrich (English instructor) and Mrs. Kerschner (Miamisburg). Sydney is the daughter of Richard and Candice Eldridge of Dayton.

·         Rylee Emig (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Photography program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Troy Baker (Graphic Commercial Photography instructor) and Mrs. Dinicola (Twin Valley South). Rylee is the daughter of Scott and Carol Emig of Lewisburg.

·         Porscha Fleming (Valley View) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jared McLear (Science instructor) and Mrs. Gunter (Valley View). Porscha is the daughter of Catherine Wiler of Germantown.

·         Brianna Fourman (Vandalia-Butler) enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jeff Toms (Science instructor) and Mrs. Tara Landis (Vandalia-Butler). Brianna is the daughter of Jerold and Nickie Fourman of Vandalia.

·         Sara Fuentes (Bethel) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tina Deeter (Health Careers Academy instructor) and Mr. Steinke (Bethel). Sara is the daughter of Alfredo and Maria Fuentes of New Carlisle.

·         Grace Glueckert (Miamisburg) enrolled in the Construction Carpentry program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mr. Kelly Kramer (Construction Carpentry instructor). Grace is the daughter of Melvin and Shelley Glueckert of Dayton.

·         Bethany Gregg (Eaton) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tonya Barnett (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mrs. Cross (Eaton). Bethany is the daughter of Jeff and Ursula Gregg of Eaton.

·         Masey Gregg (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Deaton (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mrs. August (Milton-Union). Masey is the daughter of Casey and Mary Gregg of Ludlow Falls.

·         Tristan Hall (New Lebanon) enrolled in the Heavy Equipment Operator program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Ron Kauffman (Heavy Equipment Operator instructor) and Mr. Hughes (Dixie). Tristan is the son of Jeff and Michelle Hall of Trotwood.

·         Jennifer Hammond (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mrs. Jillian Tegtmeyer (English instructor). Jennifer is the daughter of Chuck and Diane Hammond of Dayton.

·         Caleb Harter (Arcanum) enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educator, Mr. Mike Routzohn (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning instructor). Caleb is the son of Marvin and Shelley Harter of West Manchester.

·         Mariah Hazelwood (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Lisa Hetzer (Graphic Commercial Art instructor) and Mrs. Dougherty (Preble Shawnee). Mariah is the daughter of Randy and Kelly Montgomery of Camden.

·         Morgan Helman (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Erin Molden (Biotechnology instructor) and Mr. Stallard (Tri-County North). Morgan is the daughter of Lori Helman of Lewisburg.

·         Echota Henderson (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Ryan Bruss (Aviation Maintenance Technician instructor) and Mr. Henderson (Tri-County North). Echota is the son of Van and Amy Henderson of Lewisburg.

·         Emily Higgins (Vandalia-Butler) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tonya Barnett (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Mrs. Washburn (Vandalia-Butler). Emily is the daughter of Derek and Sharon Higgins of Vandalia.

·         William Howard (Valley View) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Ryan Bruss (Aviation Maintenance Technician instructor) and Mrs. Hodson (Valley View). William is the son of Jay and Jill Howard of Germantown.

·         Audra Kirchhofer (New Lebanon) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tiffany Minton (English instructor) and Mrs. Streck (Dixie). Audra is the daughter of Mark and Beverly Kirchhofer of New Lebanon.

·         Noah Kunkel (Hueber Heights) enrolled in the Automotive Technology program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educator, Mr. Ron Watts (Automotive Technology instructor). Noah is the son of John and Tricia Kunkel of Huber Heights.

·         Linda Lahlali (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Deaton (Allied Health Technologies instructor) and Ms. Roll (Wayne). Linda is the daughter of Malik and Queen Lahlali of Huber Heights.

·         John Laughman (New Lebanon) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Ms. Roberta Phillips (Electives instructor) and Mr. Armentrout (Dixie). John is the son of Gene and Amy Laughman of Pleasant Hill.

Dewey is the daughter of Noel and Jenny Lewis of Dayton.

·         Carly Newman (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Abbie Hartman (Dental Assistant instructor) and Mrs. Aukerman (Milton-Union). Carly is the daughter of Mark and Julie Newman of West Milton.

·         Jessica North (Eaton) enrolled in the Sports Management & Marketing program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Zach Gueth (Sports Management & Marketing instructor) and Mr. McKinney (Eaton). Jessica is the daughter of Mark and Rebecca North of Lewisburg.

·         Shelby Perkins (Valley View) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Lisa Hetzer (Graphic Commercial Art instructor) and Mrs. Longman (Valley View). Shelby is the daughter of Dennis and Sandra Perkins of Germantown.

·         Hannah Perry (Eaton) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mrs. Paula Wathen (Health Careers Academy instructor). Hannah is the daughter of Barbara Hathaway of Eaton.

·         Peyton Phillips (Northwestern) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Doug Pultz (English instructor) and Mrs. Hillard (Northwestern). Peyton is the son of Craig and Rhonda Phillips of New Carlisle.

·         Alison Pierce (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Business Ownership program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mrs. Amanda Watts (Business Ownership instructor). Alison is the daughter of David and Heather Pierce of Huber Heights.

·         Preston Pietrzak (New Lebanon) enrolled in the Business Ownership program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. David Sanford (Social Studies instructor) and Mr. Little (Dixie). Preston is the son of Adam and Aimee Pietrzak of Brookville.

·         Kylie Poling (West Carrollton) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tiffany Minton (English instructor) and Mr. Reynolds (West Carrollton). Kylie is the daughter of Donald and Linda Osborne of Dayton.

·         Megan Poling (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Allied Health Technologies program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies instructor). Megan is the daughter of Ron and Mary Poling of Brookville.

·         Elanie Prater (Northmont) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Jessica Knisley (Veterinary Science instructor) and Mr. Baldasare (Northmont). Elanie is the daughter of James and Kellie Prater of Union.

·         Chevy Quinter (Mississinawa Valley) enrolled in the Welding program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educator, Mr. Lee Nelson (Welding instructor). Chevy is the son of Darrin Quinter of Union City and Jackie Nicely of Greenville.

·         Ariel Richardson (Eaton) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs.Corrie Lievsay (Science instructor) and Mrs. Kochensparger (Eaton). Ariel is the daughter of Dave and Bev Richardson of Camden.

·         Alex Schmitmeyer (Franklin Monroe) enrolled in the Electrical Trades program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educator, Mr. Greg Bauer (Electrical Trades instructor). Alex is the son of Doug and Cathy Schmitmeyer of Greenville.

·         Erin Shipe (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Christa Nealeigh (Veterinary Science instructor) and Ms. Hill (Milton-Union). Erin is the daughter of Kevin and Bryn Shipe of Phillipsburg.

·         Summer Staiger (Valley View) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Brandie Welbaum (Social Studies instructor) and Mr. Berry (Valley View). Summer is the daughter of Kurt and Patricia Staiger of Germantown.

·         Amber Sturgill (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Richelle Zbinden (Math instructor) and Mrs. Priddy (Wayne). Amber is the daughter of Roy and Tara Sturgill of Huber Heights.

·         Samantha Taylor (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Architectural Design program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Jillian Tegtmeyer (Math instructor) and Mr. Shaw (Wayne). Samantha is the daughter of Michelle Hiles of Huber Heights.

·         Keara Tellis (Huber Heights) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Justin Adams (Social Studies instructor) and Ms. Neria (Wayne). Keara is the daughter of  Melissa Gilliland of Huber Heights.

·         Hailey Thies (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jack Spitler (Graphic Commercial Art instructor) and Mrs. Barnes (Tri-County North). Hailey is the daughter of Ted and April Thies of Lewisburg.

·         Fryda Valdivia Plascencia (Vandalia-Butler) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mrs. Emily Powers (Health Careers Academy instructor). Fryda is the daughter of Aldo Gonzalez and Jessica Plascencia of Vandalia.

·         Felise Van Houten (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Mr. Ryan Bruss (Aviation Maintenance Technician instructor). Felise is the daughter of Arthur and Lise Van Houten of Germantown.

·         Rachel Van Scyoc (West Carrollton) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jack Spitler (Graphic Commercial Art instructor) and Ms. McGuff (West Carrollton). Rachel is the daughter of Brad and Christine Van Scyoc of Moraine.

·         Jenna Wilson (Eaton) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Sarah Fortman (Science instructor) and Mrs. Mirovsky (Eaton). Jenna is the daughter of Deryl and Marilyn Wilson of Eaton.

·         Cody Wright (Northridge) enrolled in the Game Programming & Web Applications program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Melissa Goodall (Game Programming & Web Applications instructor) and Mr. Belna (Northridge). Cody is the son of Louis and Donna Wright of Dayton.
