MVCTC’s Dental and Cosmetology SkillsUSA Local Chapter 1 students participated in making Valentines for Project Believe at the February 4, 2019, chapter meeting. “In the simplest of terms, Project Believe supports foster kids who are not living with foster families. Our kids have been orphaned by mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. To receive the help they need, they are living in group homes and residential treatment centers for months to years at a time. Ranging in ages 5 to 18, but mostly teenagers, they have little to no outside support and very few personal belongings. Project Believe reminds them they are not alone and have not been forgotten by providing some of the comforts of home throughout the year.” The students successfully made 300 Valentines to be distributed throughout the Dayton and Cincinnati hospitals, treatment centers, and youth facilities. As always, Proud to Be MVCTC!
