On September 25th, the Twin Valley South MVCTC FFA officer team attended the Ohio FFA Legislative Leadership Conference in Columbus. The officer team got to visit the Ohio Capital building, learn more about lobbyists, and learn more about how they can improve their home chapter. They did an activity where there pretended to be representatives and the other FFA members were lobbyists. The lobbyists had to try to convince the representatives to sign the bill to support their cause. The president of the chapter, Kallen Pitz, said, “It was a great way to learn about local government and how to advocate for agriculture the proper way to make our politicians more aware of issues in our community.” Thank you to representative J. Todd Smith for taking time to show us around the capitol building as well as your office and for being so kind.
