MVCTC Students Place in Regional BPA Open Event Contest

Englewood, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) students participated in the Region Three Open Event Contests. Open events are broad skills assessment tests that give students a chance to compete. These contests do not advance to the state or national levels. Schools competing in the BPA Region Three include Covington, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite Program, Greenville, Huber Heights MVCTC Interactive Multimedia Satellite Program, MVCTC Main Campus Business Programs, Milton-Union MVCTC Business Academy Satellite Program, Mississinawa Valley MVCTC Business Academy Satellite Program, and Tipp City.
The following 28 students placed in the top six for their events:
- Kaydence Hodgin, Business Ownership Senior from Milton-Union, placed 1st in the Business Meeting Management Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Jayla Jordan, Business Ownership Junior from Trotwood-Madison, placed 5th in the Business Meeting Management Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Madison Short, Business Ownership Senior from Vandalia-Butler, placed 6th in the Business Meeting Management Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Jayden Campbell, Computer Coding & Web Applications Senior from New Lebanon, placed 1st in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Malayna Suther, Computer Coding & Web Applications Junior from Miamisburg, placed 2nd in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Jacob Lewis, Computer Coding & Web Applications Senior from Northmont, placed 3rd in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Ethan Hile, Computer Coding & Web Applications Junior from Northmont, placed 4th in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Joshua Brown, Computer Coding & Web Applications Junior from Brookville, placed 5th in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Chase Morris, Computer Coding & Web Applications Senior from Huber Heights, placed 6th in the Computer Programming Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Hailey Howard, Sports Management & Marketing Senior from Troy Christian, placed 1st in the Digital Marketing Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Jaedon Mills, Business Ownership Senior from Eaton, placed 3rd in the Digital Marketing Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Ian Means, Sports Management & Marketing Senior from Brookville, placed 4th in the Digital Marketing Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.

- Parker Bickel, Business Ownership Senior from Northmont, placed 2nd in the Financial Math & Analysis Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Tyus Gibbs, Computer Networking & Cyber Security Senior from Vandalia-Butler, placed 1st in the Information Technology Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
- Ethan Spurgeon, Computer Repair & Technical Support Junior from Milton-Union, placed 2nd in the Information Technology Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.

- Lola Drew, Medical Office Management Senior from Arcanum-Butler, placed 5th in the Medical Terminology Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.

- Hailey Henderson, Business Ownership Junior from National Trail, placed 2nd in the Parliamentary Procedure Concepts BPA Regional Open Event Contest.
