MVCTC BPA Students Shine at State Awards

Columbus, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) had 64 students qualify to participate in the Ohio BPA Competition March 10-11, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. 

Congratulations to the following students that qualified to compete at the National BPA Competition in Dallas, TX in May!

First Place Winners

  • Parker Bickel, Business Ownership senior from Northmont placed FIRST in the Ohio Banking & Finance Contest.
  • Cayden Bouas, Computer Networking & Cyber Security senior from Northmont placed FIRST in the Ohio Network Administration Using Cisco Contest.
  • Dalton Poffenberger, Computer Repair & Technical Support junior from West Carrollton placed FIRST in the Ohio Database Application Contest.  

Second Place Winners

  • Jayden Campbell, Computer Coding & Web Applications senior from New Lebanon placed SECOND in the Ohio Java Programming Contest.
  • David Wilson, Computer Networking & Cyber Security junior from Northmont placed SECOND in the Ohio Network Administration Using Cisco Contest.

Third Place Winners

  • Jacob Fenton, Computer Networking & Cyber Security senior from Vandalia-Butler placed THIRD in the Ohio Linux Operating System Fundamentals Contest.
  • Chase Morris, Computer Coding & Web Applications senior from Huber Heights placed THIRD in the Ohio C++ Programming Contest.
  • William Mays, Computer Repair & Technical Support senior from West Carrollton placed THIRD in the Ohio Device Configuration & Troubleshooting Contest.
  • The Presentation Management Business Ownership Team of Ramaree' Montgomery (Northridge), Andrew Rickard (Eaton), Noah Riley (Northmont), and Katelyn Shockley (Carlisle) placed THIRD.

Fourth Place Winner

  • David Pryor, Computer Networking & Cyber Security senior from West Carrollton placed FOURTH in the Ohio Computer Network Technology Contest.

Fifth Place Winner

Haley Orick, Medical Office Management junior from West Carrollton placed FIFTH in the Ohio Health Insurance & Medical Billing Contest.
