MVCTC BPA Students Qualify for National Leadership Conference

Englewood, Ohio – [March 12, 2024] – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) proudly announces that 18 of its Business Professional of America (BPA) students have secured spots to compete at the BPA National Leadership Conference, scheduled for May 10-14, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. These students have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in their respective fields, earning recognition at both regional and state levels.

The following MVCTC students have earned their place at the National Leadership Conference:

  • Isaiah Ares, junior, Drones & GIS Technologies, from Tipp City, 5th place in Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications.
  • The Global Marketing Team earned 3rd place at the state level. The team comprises senior Business Ownerships students - Harrison Davis from Northmont, Isaiah Early from Brookville, Ethan Goins from Carlisle, and Amelia Pierce from Huber Heights.
  • Zoey Elson, a junior in Media & Video Production from Ansonia, 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speech.
  • Donny Everhart, a senior in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity, from Arcanum-Butler, 2nd place in Device Configuration & Troubleshooting.
  • The Network Design Team earned 1st place at the state level. The team consists of Computer Networking & Cybersecurity senior students Austin Hawkins from Bethel, Connor McGuire, from Bethel, and Bryce Schweikhardt from Bethel.
  • Joshua Hopkins, a senior in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity from Tri-County North, 4th place in Linux Operating System Fundamentals.
  • Joseph Latvala, a senior in Computer Coding & Web Applications from Valley View, 2nd place in Python Programming.
  • Micah Powell, a senior in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity from Carlisle, 1st place in Network Administration Using Cisco.
  • Riley Robert, a senior in Computer Coding & Web Applications from Twin Valley South, 4th place in Java Programming.
  • Malachi Robinson, a junior in Business Ownership, from Huber Heights, 1st place in Economic Research Project—Individual.
  • Elijah Rose, a senior in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity from Miamisburg, 2nd place in Network Administration Using Cisco.
  • Prabhlean Singh, a senior in Computer Coding & Web Applications from Miamisburg, 3rd place in Python Programming.
  • Zane Wiley, a senior in Business Ownership from Vandalia-Butler, 2nd place in Integrated Office Applications.
