MVCTC Drones & GIS Technologies Students Earn FAA Certification

ENGLEWOOD, OH –  The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is thrilled to announce four students from the Drones & GIS Technologies program, under the guidance of Mrs. Amy Sugden, successfully earned their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.

The students who earned this prestigious credential are:

  • Isaiah Ares from Tippecanoe
  • Terrian Bowling from Trotwood-Madison
  • Jayden Gambrel from Horizon Science Academy
  • Aviram Schuman from Brookville

The FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification is a significant milestone for aspiring drone pilots. It authorizes them to operate drones commercially and ensures they have a comprehensive understanding of airspace regulations, safety procedures, and the technology behind unmanned aerial systems.

Mrs. Sugden, the instructor of the Drones & GIS Technologies program, expressed her pride in her students' dedication and accomplishments.
