Transportation to MVCTC

Our 27 partner school districts provide transportation for students attending their district to MVCTC. Please contact the school district you live in if you have questions about bus pick-ups and drop-offs. Pre-apprenticeship, Internship, Advanced Placement, and open enrollment students must provide their own daily transportation.

If you are driving, getting dropped off, or getting picked up, please view the following links to assist:

If a student’s partner school district is not in session but MVCTC is in session, MVCTC students should consult their partner school to verify transportation arrangements. Students are expected to attend the MVCTC even though their partner school is not in session.

Parking Pass

Parking passes will go live on the first day of school at this link www.mvctc.com/security/permanent-parking-pass.

Students must still follow the parking guidelines outlined in the MVCTC Student Handbook. (The Student Handbook is available online under the Current Students Tab http://www.mvctc.com/current-students/general-information).

Staying Connected to Partner School

Students are still enrolled at their partner high school while attending MVCTC. It is encouraged that the student  continue to participate in extra-curricular activities, including, sports, clubs, band, choir, orchestra, theater, etc. Students will receive their high school diploma from their partner school district, and a Career Passport from MVCTC.  We highly encourage your student to stay connected by checking their MVCTC school email daily for updates from their partner school, listen to morning announcements, read announcements running on screens during lunch, and meet with your partner school counselor when they visit MVCTC.

MVCTC Policies on Inclement Weather

What to do if your partner school is closed/delayed due to bad weather

When a partner school is closed due to weather conditions or other calamities, students from the closed school are not required to report to MVCTC. Students may report if they choose to find a safe way to MVCTC. Students from other schools that are not closed are required to report as usual to MVCTC. If the partner school is operating on a delayed schedule, students are required to report at the appropriate time as adjusted by the partner school delay. Students on advanced placement are not required to report to MVCTC if their home school is on a delayed schedule. If the student reports to the MVCTC at the regular time (and discovers that their home school is on a delay), they are to remain at school and follow the MVCTC schedule.

MVCTC is closed due to bad weather

When MVCTC is closed on the authority of the administration and/or the Board of Education due to weather conditions or other calamities, no student is required to report to school. When such a decision is made, the media and TV newsrooms are immediately notified, and a School Messenger System phone call will be sent to families according to the number they have on file with the district. Please ensure that the phone number on file with the MVCTC is current. Please do not call personnel, the school offices, or the media. Listen to the radio or TV for announcements, or visit www.mvctc.com
