MVCTC Expands Satellite Programs for the 2024-2025 School Year

08/27/2024

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is excited to announce the expansion of its satellite programs for the 2024-2025 school year. These programs, offered in collaboration with our partner school districts, extend career-technical education opportunities directly to students on their own high school campuses. By bringing in-demand career pathways to students where they are, MVCTC continues to provide high-quality education that meets regional workforce needs and prepares students for college and career success.

New satellite programs for 2024-2025 include Jefferson Township (Agricultural Education), Miamisburg (Project Lead the Way and Career Connections), Milton-Union (Computer Science), and Valley View (Business Academy).

What Are Satellite Programs?

MVCTC's satellite programs are designed to deliver career-technical education within the familiar environment of partner schools. This model allows students to engage in hands-on learning and gain practical skills without leaving their home districts. Satellite programs are tailored to align with the needs of local industries, ensuring that students receive training in fields that are both relevant and in demand.

During the 2023-2024 school year, over 4,500 students benefited from these innovative programs. For the 2024-2025 school year, MVCTC is expanding its offerings to provide more opportunities for students across the Miami Valley.
