On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Career Exploration Coordinator Todd Engel and a team of MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited the Preble County 8th Grade: Experience Future Careers Day at the Preble County Fairgrounds. Eighth-grade students from Eaton, National Trail, Preble Shawnee, Tri-County North, and Twin Valley South schools gathered to explore career options, connect with industry leaders, and gain hands-on experience in various fields.
The event featured interactive demonstrations led by business and industry professionals and MVCTC students, who showcased their excitement for their respective career-technical programs. MVCTC Student Ambassadors were instrumental in creating engaging activities that provided 8th graders with an early glimpse into their future career possibilities.
Todd Engel, Career Exploration Coordinator at MVCTC, praised the efforts of the Student Ambassadors. “This event is about planting the seeds for the future, helping students see what career paths might interest them, and sparking the passion for hands-on learning. Our Student Ambassadors went above and beyond to ensure the 8th graders left feeling excited about the possibilities.”
