The countdown is on! Join us at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) this Friday, September 20, 2024, for #WhyApply Day, a national initiative to inspire high school students to apply to college this fall. The day aims to highlight postsecondary education's life-changing opportunities, from career benefits to personal growth experiences.
Whether aiming for a two-year or four-year degree, applying to college opens doors to professional networks, leadership opportunities, and future career paths crucial for long-term success. College is not just about earning a diploma; it’s about growing personally and professionally in ways that impact your life forever.
At MVCTC, we believe in our students and their potential to achieve their dreams. That’s why MVCTC School Counselors will be available in the MAC during lunch on Friday, September 20, to help guide students through their college planning journey. Whether you're just starting to think about applying or you need help with specific application tasks, we're here to support you.
How You Can Participate:
- Wear your favorite college t-shirt to show support for higher education.
- Write down your “why”—why you're motivated to apply to college—and share it with us.
- Share a selfie with your “why” on social media using #WhyApply.
- Get personalized assistance from MVCTC counselors on college planning tasks, from applications to financial aid.
