MVCTC Recognizes October 2024 Students of the Month by Department

Academics and Special Education Departments
The Academics and Special Education departments are pleased to honor their October 2024 Students of the Month.

  • Zoey Elson (Ansonia) – A Media & Video Production program senior, Zoey’s positive and helpful nature has been appreciated by her math teacher, Mrs. Samantha Farrier. Known for her kindness, Zoey is a role model for her peers in and outside the classroom.

  • Chloe “Alex” Lawson (Eaton) – A junior in the Cosmetology program, Alex’s science teacher, Mrs. Kelley Port, praises her insightful questions and eagerness to learn. Alex’s consistent dedication and enthusiasm make her an inspiring presence in class.

 

Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department (EBITA)

The MVCTC EBITA department proudly announces their Students of the Month for October 2024.

  • Ramya Lucas (Huber-Heights) – A senior in the Media Video program, Ramya, alongside her studio partner Aden Jarvis, has produced popular morning announcements. Their recent Halloween Edition broadcast showcased their creativity and scriptwriting abilities, becoming a school favorite.

  • Aden Jarvis (Trotwood-Madison) – Also a senior in the Media Video program, Aden’s partnership with Ramya Lucas has resulted in outstanding announcements. The duo’s attention to detail and collaborative spirit have made their productions memorable for the MVCTC community.

 

Health and Consumer Sciences Department (HCS)

The MVCTC HCS Department would like to recognize outstanding students of the month for October 2024.

  • A’mya Fleming (Huber Heights) – A junior in the Pre-Nursing program, A’mya has impressed her instructor, Emily Powers, with her positive demeanor and willingness to assist classmates. A'mya’s leadership and empathy shine through in the lab, where she excels in her assignments and caring interactions. Mrs. Powers is excited to see A’mya continue to grow during clinicals this year.

  • Rachel Luebke (Valley View) – A senior in the Medical Lab Assisting program, Rachel has shown exemplary dedication and skill. Instructor Paula Wathen commended Rachel for her success in HOSA competitions, where she placed 2nd in the Clinical Lab Science event at the state level and advanced at the international conference. Rachel’s determination and persistence make her an exceptional role model for her peers.

 

Trade & Industry and Graphic Arts Department (TIG)

The TIG department recognizes two standout students for October 2024.

  • Jackson Flynn (Huber Heights) – A junior in the Construction Carpentry program, Jackson has quickly emerged as a leader, excelling with a 4.0 GPA for the first quarter. His instructor commends Jackson's strong work ethic, positive attitude, and skill in constructing foundation footings and building layouts.

  • Raeshon Bowers (Trotwood-Madison) – A senior in the Digital Design program, Raeshon’s dedication to his craft is evident in his high-quality project work and his eagerness to learn. Raeshon’s creative promotional videos demonstrate his potential in digital media. He also recently pursued leadership opportunities within SkillsUSA, reflecting his commitment to growth.

 

Satellite Partner School Programs
The MVCTC Satellite Partner School Programs proudly recognize their exceptional students for October 2024.

  • Julian Cyrek (MCESC - MVCTC) Julian's proactive attitude and commitment to his lab projects set him apart. His creativity and dedication reflect his passion for learning.
  • Lola Grieshop (Tri-County North - MVCTC) An active FFA member, Lola has excelled in CDE contests, demonstrating her hard work and dedication to the FFA organization.
  • Carlos Zamora (Huber Heights - MVCTC Construction) Carlos consistently excels in academics and lab work. His involvement in setting up and organizing lab equipment shows his initiative and strong work ethic.

  • Alex Holsinger (Huber Heights - MVCTC HVAC) Alex is an enthusiastic learner with a positive attitude and a passion for his future career in HVAC.

  • Trevor Sherwood (Huber Heights - MVCTC Welding) Despite recent personal challenges, Trevor’s resilience and dedication to welding have not wavered. His commitment, reflected by purchasing his own welding gear, inspires those around him.
