The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to announce its November Students of the Month, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements, leadership, and commitment in their respective programs.
Grant Heiser (Eaton): A student in the Natural Resource Management Program, Grant has excelled as a leader and competitor. His dedication to the Parliamentary Procedure team and his outstanding performance in the District Urban Land Judging contest, where he placed second in the western Ohio district, secured him a spot in the state finals.
Damon Hamilton (Mississinawa Valley): Enrolled in the Medical Office Management Program, Damon exemplifies professionalism through his participation in the school-to-work program with Premier Health. Damon’s supervisors commend his work ethic, technical skills, and adaptability, as he seamlessly manages tasks across multiple hospital departments.
Lacey Bowman (Vandalia-Butler): A Pre-Nursing student, Lacey represented MVCTC at the HOSA Washington Leadership Academy. During a productive meeting with Congressman Mike Turner’s aide, Lacey and her peers advocated for Perkins funding to support career technical education, highlighting the importance of programs like HOSA.
Paloma Carey (Brookville): Paloma, a standout in the Dental Assisting Program, has earned admiration for her academic success and positive demeanor. Her dedication and kindness make her a role model among her peers.
Travis Armstrong (Twin Valley South): A student in the Retail Agricultural Services Program, Travis is praised for his focus, drive, and proactive approach to learning. His English teacher highlights his excellent communication skills and inclusivity towards classmates.
Avalon Caldwell (West Carrollton): Avalon, from the Animal Care and Management Program, is recognized for her exceptional work ethic and attention to detail. Her kind and respectful attitude towards peers further highlights her exemplary character.
Madison Garber (Arcanum-Butler): A Robotics and Automation student, Madison has volunteered at open houses to share her enthusiasm for the field. As the lead designer in the XtremeBots competition, Madison's leadership and technical skills have inspired her team.
Joseph Ward (Northmont): A senior in the HVAC Program, Joseph has been recognized for his outstanding work ethic and ambition. His teacher notes his high aspirations, including plans to attend college after graduation.
Ethan Kosier (National Trail-MVCTC FFA): Serving as FFA Chapter President, Ethan is preparing the Meats team for a national contest in Denver and applies his skills at Rodefer Meats in Eaton, Ohio.
Zach Beam (Vandalia-Butler-MVCTC Morton Middle School): Zach’s consistent preparation and willingness to help classmates highlight his supportive nature and commitment to learning.
Dylan Leary (Preble Shawnee-MVCTC PLTW): Dylan’s creativity and problem-solving skills shine in team projects, where his leadership fosters effective collaboration among peers.
Avery Sanderson (Vandalia-Butler-MVCTC STEM): Avery showcases innovation by designing and 3D-printing recognition pins for teachers, embodying the spirit of scientific inquiry and practical application.
