The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to announce Kaydin Rugg, a junior in the Electrical Trades program, as the Northmont Rotary Student of the Month for December.
Kaydin was nominated by her instructor, Mr. Thomas Wicker, for her exceptional dedication, outstanding performance, and leadership in a trade program traditionally dominated by males. Kaydin currently holds a 99% average in both classwork and lab assignments and has maintained perfect attendance this school year.
“Kaydin exhibits hard work and dedication in the Electrical Trades program. She consistently excels in all assignments and demonstrates a great attitude,” Mr. Wicker shared. “Her willingness to assist classmates and prioritize their success over her own speaks volumes about her character.”
Kaydin’s leadership shines in her role as a mentor to her peers. She regularly helps classmates with hands-on lab and classwork assignments and has selflessly put others ahead of herself when nominating individuals for tool awards, a testament to her humility and team-oriented mindset.
Looking to the future, Kaydin plans to continue her education after graduating from MVCTC. She is exploring opportunities in a formal electrical apprenticeship program or pursuing college studies related to the electrical industry.
Congratulations, Kaydin, on this well-deserved recognition and for exemplifying the qualities of an MVCTC student leader.
We are dedicated to providing premier educational choices and advanced employment preparation for youth, adults, and organizations of the Miami Valley.
