The Arcanum-Butler MVCTC FFA chapter has had an impressive season, excelling in multiple state-level competitions and earning a spot on the national stage. Their dedication, hard work, and knowledge in farm business management, public speaking, and agricultural biotechnology have led to outstanding achievements.
The Arcanum-Butler MVCTC FFA team placed 1st overall in the Ohio FFA Farm and Agribusiness Management Contest, competing against 104 schools statewide. Their top placement qualifies them to represent Ohio in the National FFA Farm Business Management Contest at the National FFA Convention in October.

The Farm Business Management Contest allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, testing their understanding of economic principles in farm management and their ability to solve industry-specific challenges.
Arcanum-Butler MVCTC FFA members also demonstrated their communication and leadership skills by competing in the County and District FFA Public Speaking Contests.
Places 11th in State Ag Biotechnology Contest
In January, the Arcanum-Butler MVCTC FFA team showcased their expertise in agricultural biotechnology by competing in the Ohio FFA Ag Biotechnology State Finals at the Ohio Department of Agriculture in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
The team earned their spot in the finals by placing 15th on the Online Qualifying Test, ultimately improving their ranking to 11th in the state at the competition. The event tested students’ ability to identify industry tools, apply scientific principles, and evaluate key biotechnology concepts through a written exam and hands-on challenges.
