Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) satellite programs are starting strong in 2025. They provide students across multiple districts with hands-on, career-focused learning experiences. From engineering projects to industry certifications, students gain valuable skills that prepare them for future careers.

At Miamisburg-MVCTC Middle School, Design & Modeling STEM students explored various engineering disciplines, created 3D avatars using TinkerCAD, and developed prototypes of an ankle-foot orthosis for a patient with cerebral palsy. Upcoming projects will include air skimmers and 3D object measurement.

ESC Learning Center North-MVCTC juniors and seniors have been honing their trade skills by learning to solder copper piping. Senior K’den James led a class demonstration.

Miamisburg-MVCTC High School STEM program design, construct, and test balsa-wood bridges to understand structural engineering concepts.

Huber Heights-MVCTC HVAC, senior students achieved Universal EPA 608 certification, a key credential for HVAC careers. Mechanical Services & Design provided insight into HVAC industry opportunities, including internships and apprenticeships.

Northmont-MVCTC 8th Grade Robotics students applied the engineering design process to build holiday-themed pull toys, incorporating mechanical elements like chain drives and cam-and-follower mechanisms.

Northridge-MVCTC Healthcare program, seniors have been refining their ECG skills, preparing for careers in the medical field.

Miamisburg Middle School-MVCTC Career Connections students engaged in a Construction and Architecture Unit, using power tools and precision measurements to build one-board birdhouses.

MVCTC’s satellite programs continue to offer immersive, career-driven education, ensuring students gain real-world experience in their chosen fields.
