Midnight in Manhattan: MVCTC Prom 2025

The MVCTC is excited to announce Prom 2025! This unforgettable evening will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC) at MVCTC. The event will run from 8:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., offering students an elegant night under the city lights with this year's theme, "Midnight in Manhattan."

Ticket Sales

Prom ticket sales will open tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th at 8:00 AM. They will be available for purchase until 3:00 PM on Friday, April 4th or until they are sold out.  Please see details below:

  • Cost is $25 per ticket. Students can only purchase ONE ticket.
  • Tickets can be purchased at https://events.hometownticketing.com/ or through the Hometown Ticketing app.
    • Search for Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Select the event for prom.
    • If you do not have an account, create one. If you have an account, log in.
    • In order to purchase the ticket, you will be asked for a ticket access code. Your access code is all six digits of your student ID (ex. 165432).
    • ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.
  • Students needing to pay in cash can make their purchase at the cashier’s window before or after school ONLY.
  • Students wanting to bring an outside guest:
    • First, complete this Google form: https://forms.gle/AxNXp68VzHnPMFYz7
    • Then, you will receive an email with a unique ticket access code for your guest. (Emails will be sent out periodically; please be patient.)
    • Share the code with your guest.
    • Your guest will use their unique code to purchase their own ticket using the same steps as above.

Tickets are digital, and you will scan in at the door with your ticket QR code (from either the app or website). Each student must scan in separately.

Ticket sales will be open to MVCTC students ONLY for the first two weeks. Requests for guest ticket codes will be released starting Wednesday, March 19th.  Students or guests serving a suspension or expulsion on the day of prom will not be eligible to attend, and no refunds will be issued for pre-purchased tickets.

Dress Code Expectations

Prom is a formal event, and all attendees are expected to dress appropriately.

Feminine Attire:

  • Dresses must be formal, fit properly, and remain in place while dancing.
  • Openings in the dress must not be shorter than fingertip length.
  • Necklines should be modest and tasteful.
  • Strapless and spaghetti straps are permitted.

Masculine Attire:

  • Collared shirts with sleeves and dress slacks are required.
  • Blue jeans, shorts, sunglasses, and bandanas are not permitted.
  • Undergarments must not be visible.

If attendees have questions about their attire, they should consult with their principal before the event to ensure compliance. Students or guests who violate the dress code may be denied entry or asked to leave.

Admittance & Attendance Policies

  • Doors close at 9:00 P.M. No one will be admitted after this time unless prior arrangements have been made with MVCTC administration.
  • Students and guests must be picked up from campus by 11:05 P.M.
  • Any student or guest suspected of using alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances before or during the event will be removed, and parents will be contacted. Tobacco use is also strictly prohibited.
  • Attendees may be searched for weapons or illegal substances before entry.
  • Leaving the dance without permission will result in no re-admittance.

Dance Conduct

Prom is a school-sponsored event, and all students and guests are expected to behave appropriately. Inappropriate or sexually explicit dancing—including twerking, grinding, or vulgar movements—is strictly prohibited. Face-to-face dancing is preferred. Moshing, slamming, and excessive public displays of affection are not allowed.

Students are responsible for informing their guests of all MVCTC school rules. Any violation of dance conduct policies will result in removal from the event, with no refunds given.
