MVCTC Announces February Students of the Month

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to recognize its February Students of the Month, including outstanding students from MVCTC Satellite and on-campus career-technical programs. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and achievement in their respective fields.

Satellite Students of the Month

  • Cody Cromer (Mississinawa Valley-MVCTC BPA) – Cody volunteered as a voting delegate at the BPA State Leadership Conference and consistently presents himself as a young business professional.
  • Lyn’Niah Elmore (Northridge-MVCTC Health Careers) – Lyn’Niah is recognized for her punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness, and compassion. Her instructor, Mrs. Wiltshire, believes she will serve the healthcare industry well as an STNA.
  • Ali Wale (Valley View-MVCTC Business Academy) – Ali, a Valley View High School senior, will attend Cedarville University next fall. She placed first in the BPA Interview Skills competition and has been instrumental in launching the Valley View School Store.
  • Allie Hannahan (Valley View-MVCTC Agricultural Education) – Allie dedicated time to applying for an Equine Proficiency Award, demonstrating her commitment to growth in her education and FFA experiences.
  • Caeden Fritz (Mississinawa Valley-MVCTC Agricultural Education) – Caeden has been an active FFA member for five years, excelling in fundraisers, growing contests, and classroom studies. Her leadership by example is commendable.

Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture 

  • Addison Pence (Preble Shawnee – Business Ownership Program) – Addison has been advanced placed throughout her senior year while serving as an assistant for the MVCTC Adult Education department. She maintains outstanding evaluations and advanced coursework and plans to attend Ohio University to study Psychology.
  • Trevor Terry (Vandalia-Butler—Computer Networking & Cyber Security Program) excels academically while gaining real-world networking experience at Lanicom LLC.

Trade & Industry and Graphics

  • Justine Bowlin (Carlisle – Welding Program) – Justine is a hardworking and engaged student who transferred from the Veterinary Science program. She prepared for her new career path by attending Hobart over the summer to build her welding skills.
  • Benjamin Bentz (Huber Heights – Firefighter/EMS Program) – Ben, an intern at the Huber Heights Fire Department, is recognized for his enthusiasm, work ethic, and leadership in class. His dedication to becoming a first responder is evident.

Health and Consumer Sciences

  • Elizabeth Koewler (Vandalia-Butler – Culinary Arts Program) – Elizabeth is a dedicated student who has represented MVCTC at various events. Her instructor, Cortney Bergbigler, commends her leadership, curiosity, and ability to maintain professionalism in the kitchen.

  • Adam Shakirov (Bethel – Pre-Nursing Program) – Adam, a PCT at Miami Valley Hospital, was nominated by a patient’s family for the hospital’s Everyday Hero Award, demonstrating his compassion and dedication to patient care.

Academic Students of the Month

  • Justine Bowlin (Carlisle – Welding Program) – two teachers nominated Justine for her strong academic performance, engagement in discussions, and hard work balancing academics, athletics, and career-technical training.

  • Kaitlyn Kay (Bethel – Early Childhood Education Program) – Kaitlyn has excelled academically, maintaining a 95% or higher in all classes. Her instructor, Mark Ratliff, highlights her problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and willingness to help others.

MVCTC congratulates all the February Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements and contributions to their programs. These students exemplify the dedication and work ethic that MVCTC strives to instill in all its learners.
