MVCTC Student and Instructor Named Finalists for 2025 Technology First Leadership Awards

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to announce that senior Kasidi Daugherty, a student in the Computer Coding & Web Applications program, and her instructor, Mrs. Melissa Goodall, have both been recognized as finalists for the prestigious 2025 Technology First Leadership Awards.

Technology First, a Dayton-based nonprofit committed to growing and supporting the region's technology industry, hosts the annual awards to honor outstanding individuals who demonstrate leadership and innovation in technology.

Kasidi Daugherty was named a finalist for the Award of Excellence for a High School Student. This award celebrates high school students who have shown exemplary performance, commitment to learning, and a passion for pursuing a career in technology. Kasidi, a senior from Tri-County North, has distinguished herself in the classroom and beyond through her coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership in collaborative projects.

MVCTC Computer Coding & Web Applications instructor Mrs. Melissa Goodall was named a finalist for the Technology Educator of the Year award. This honor recognizes educators who go above and beyond in preparing the next generation of technology professionals. Mrs. Goodall’s dedication to student success, integration of real-world applications in the classroom, and tireless advocacy for STEM education made her a standout nominee.

The 2025 Technology First Leadership Awards winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony in Dayton later this spring. MVCTC congratulates Kasidi and Mrs. Goodall on this outstanding achievement and wishes them luck at the awards event.
