Culinary Arts Grad Interning at World Renowned Restaurant in New York

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Class of 2014 Culinary Arts grad, Brett Barger, accepted a three-month unpaid internship working at Per Sé, owned by Chef Thomas Keller. The restaurant is located in the Time Warner building in New York City. It is considered by some to be one of the best restaurants in the world.

 

Brett originally from Northmont completed the MVCTC Culinary Arts program in the spring of 2014 and has continued his education at the New England Culinary Institute (NECI) to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. He has also interned at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai, California.

 

Chef Thomas Keller is a renowned American-born chef with restaurants in Yountville, CA; New York; Las Vegas; and Beverly Hills. According to his website, “He is the first and only American-born chef to hold multiple three-star ratings from the prestigious Michelin Guide, as well as the first American male chef to be designated a Chevalier of The French Legion of Honor, the highest decoration in France.”
