MVCTC Students Qualify for National BPA Contests

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter competed in the State BPA Conference on Thursday and Friday, March 17 and 18, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio.

Congratulations to Lucas Gauldin and Aaron Henderson for placing first in their State BPA Contest. Lucas, a Game Programming & Web Applications senior from Franklin Monroe, won the Java Programming Contest; Aaron, a Game Programming & Web Applications senior from West Carrollton, won the C++ Programming Contest.

Congratulations to Steven Davis, a Computer Network Engineering junior from West Carrollton, for placing second in the Systems Administration Using CISCO Contest.

 

Congratulations to Austin Pearce, a Computer Network Engineering senior from Northmont, for placing third in the Systems Administration Using CISCO Contest.

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to DeJour Stevens-Wilson, a GIS & Technical Intelligence senior from Trotwood, for placing third in the Database Applications Contest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Brandon Landis, a Business Ownership senior from West Carrollton, for placing third in the Personal Financial Management Contest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Kenzi Gordon, a Medical Office Management senior from Valley View, for placing in the Top Five in the Medical Office Procedures Contest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lucas Gauldin, Aaron Henderson, Steven Davis, Austin Pearce, DeJour Stevens-Wilson, Brandon Landis, and Kenzi Gordon all qualified for the National BPA Contest in Boston, MA this May.

 

BPA is a national student organization that serves Business and Information Technology students. Members participate in activities that promote leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills, as well as competing in BPA contests related to their career field at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
