- RAMTEC provides a means to connect Ohio industries with a trained workforce to help strengthen their competitive position to help companies retain, and generate jobs that will in turn, keep families in Ohio.
- RAMTEC develops, delivers and expands upon the partnerships of Industry, Education, and Ohio’s existing workforce initiatives to deliver training that meets the needs of Manufacturers by focusing on specific training in grades 6 through post-secondary and incumbent workers that leads to industry recognized credentials.
Ohio Manufacturing Statistics
- Ohio accounted for $80.7 billion in manufacturing output, which resulted in 16.7% of Ohio’s Gross State product, 12.7% of Ohio’s jobs and 95% of Ohio’s exports.
- Ohio is 3rd in the US for Manufacturing output and workforce and 2nd in the US for the automotive industry.
- Ohio employs over 637,625 direct jobs at a payroll of over $38 billion dollars.
- The National Association of Manufacturers stated, “88% of the manufacturers are having difficulties finding qualified workers”.
