Mississinawa Valley-MVCTC FFA Updates: Mississinawa Valley was very proud of the 8 state degree recipients, Hope Jankowski, Zach Dirmeyer, Leslie Dirksen, Megan Wilson, Shelby Manning, Madison Stachler, Tom Schmitz, Darin Miller
Valley View-MVCTC FFA Updates:
- Bailey DeGroat - State FFA Degree
- Katy Monnig- Gold Treasurer Book
- Zane Kozarec, Bailey DeGroat, Jordan Johnson, Brynn Kozarec- Received their plaque for being a State Finals Livestock Evaluation Team (Top 10 in Ohio)
Valley View took 4 students to FFA Camp. Mike Boyle, Jordan Johnson, Jake Stiver, and Faith Eller. All students competed throughout the week and made friends from across the state as well as new friends within the CTC umbrella.
Miami East-MVCTC FFA Updates:
- Jessica Gillum & Kylie Blair placed first in their Agriscience division for their research on comparing water and soil samples from townships around Miami County to see if there was a parallel between results.
- Hannah Wilson, Nathan Teeters & Katie Bendickson were State FFA Proficiency Winners for their Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs. Their applications will be reviewed by National FFA the end of July.
- Hannah Wilson, Katie Bendickson, Kelsey Kirchner, Weston Hodge, and Daniel Everett earned the State FFA Degree.
- The Miami East-MVCTC FFA was a Top 10 Chapter in the state (out of 315 chapters). The chapter was also Top 10 in the state in the area of Student Development, Chapter Development, and Community Development.
- Emily Beal was recognized as a Star State Farmer Finalist (Top 4 in the state) for her business, Beal's Show Goats.
Miami East sent 6 students to the 1st session of FFA Camp. Daniel Everett was a 4 year camper! Jessica Gillum placed 2nd in the FFA Camp Creed Speaking Contest. Couy Moreland placed 3rd in the rifle competition.
