New Paris, Ohio - The National Trail-MVCTC FFA Chapter Rural and Urban soils team participated in the Preble County Soils Contest on September 12, 2014. The Rural Team included: Suzanne Kimball, Danielle Thomas, Chelsea Allen, Savannah Reece and Alexus Action. The Urban Team included: Sean Drew, Samuel Eyler, Carson Fort, Becky Allen, Weston Haws, Karrie Buehner, Josh Baker and Trey Mann.
Both teams placed first overall. Individually the Rural Team’s Danielle Thomas placed first, Suzanne Kimball placed forth, and Chelsea Allen placed ninth. The Urban Team also did well individually with senior, Sean Drew placing first not only in his division but overall in the county. Senior, Karrie Buehner also placed individually in Urban, she placed third. Becky Allen placed fifth and Samuel Eyler placed sixth. The teams will next be participating in District Soil Contest.
