The members of the National Trail-MVCTC FFA Chapter attended the 87th Annual National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky late October. The members went to watch Mrs. Jessica Helsinger receive the Honorary American Degree on behalf of Mr. Joseph Slone. This degree is the highest you can receive in National FFA Organization and not many get this award. It was well deserved to a man who impacted so many lives. In addition to this award, our members attended Convention sessions and listened to multiple motivational speakers. The group also went on educational tours, and participated in fun activities.
The members that attended were: Sam Eyler, Chelsea Allen, Alexus Acton, Whitney Haws, Savannah Reece, Sydney Benedict, Suzanne Kimball, Kara Gallaher, Sean Drew, Emilie Satterfield, Carson Fort, Karrie Buehner, Tessa Rhodus, Dawn Richardson, Danielle Thomas and Lenny Morgan. National Trail also traveled with two other schools that are satellites of Miami Valley Career Technology Center: Tri-Village and Mississinawa Valley. This offered a huge chance to bond and network with FFA members from surrounding schools. This is one way the National FFA Organization promotes premier leadership.
The students had the opportunity to get information from different colleges around the country at the Agricultural College display and see the new technologies and careers in the Agriculture Industry at the Agricultural Career show. They also went to the Justin Moore and Easton Corbin concert, Renaissance Fun Park, and a hypnotist show.
We are dedicated to providing premier educational choices and advanced employment preparation for youth, adults, and organizations of the Miami Valley.
