The Brookville-MVCTC FFA Chapter was selected to receive two free FFA jackets as a part of the Ohio FFA Foundation’s Blue Jacket Program. The program is sponsored by Farm Credit Services of Mid-America. Each year Farm Credit donates money to buy FFA jackets for members in their local territory. The jackets cost nothing to the chapter or students who receive them. The Brookville-MVCTC FFA Advisor, Mrs. Stephanie Davis, used an application process to determine the two winners of the free jackets.
Members chosen were Tanner Marburger and Jacob Filbrun. Tanner is a freshman in the Agricultural, Food, and Natural Resources class and first-year FFA member. Tanner is the son of Todd and Kim Marburger. Tanner has been an active first-year FFA member, participating in monthly meetings, fruit sale, strawberry sale, district public speaking contest, and FFA community service activities. Jacob is the son of Deborah Filbrun and Larry Filbrun. He is a sophomore enrolled in the Agricultural, Food, and Natural Resources course and first-year FFA member. Jacob has been a member of the Rural Soils and Food Science teams, participated in monthly meetings, fruit sale, and chapter community service activities.
The Brookville-MVCTC FFA Chapter would like to thank the Farm Credit Services, Ohio FFA Foundation’s Blue Jacket Program and the Ohio FFA Foundation for the jackets.
