The Twin Valley South FFA Chapter members had an outstanding year at the Famous Preble County Fair. Kayla Stiver won Showman of Showmen for horses and also placed 1st in Hunt Seat Equitation. Hannah Cline won Showman of Showmen for hogs. Both Kayla and Hannah competed in the Showman of Showmen contest on Thursday, August. Allie Hamilton won Grand Champion Market Barrow. Chyann Kendel won Champion Polish rabbit, Reserve 13-14 year old Poultry Showmanship, and received State Fair Representative on 4 4-H projects. Skylar Blevins won 3rd in 15-16 year old Showmanship for horses. Abby Bailey won Premier Exhibitor Intermediate rabbits. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the fair!
The Twin Valley South - MVCTC FFA Chapters has many upcoming events, activities, competitions and volunteer opportunities in September. Starting August 26,  the chapter will be selling mums from Stockslager’s. Please contact the TVS Ag Department if interested in purchasing from a student. On September 10, we will have our first FFA meeting of the school year. On September 12, our first year Ag students will have the opportunity to go to the annual Greenhand Conference in Versailles. On September 17, many of our members will be participating in the county soil judging contest. On September 19-20, members will be volunteering at the Preble County Pork Festival. On September 22, the TVS - MVCTC FFA Officers will be going to Farm Science Review in London, OH. On September 30, those who qualified in the county soil judging contest will compete in the district soils contest in Auglaize County.
