Create an Illustrator Document 10" x 10": You will create 2-3 patterns. Save this document as MyPatternLastNameFirst Initial. You may create one artboard for each pattern.

Animate: Farm

• Create an animate graphics in Illustrator: See This video Farm Day 1 Part 1
• Upload Illustrator images to Animate: Farm Day 1 Part 2
• Make the doors Open: Farm Day 2 part 1
• Create Buttons Farm Day 2 Part 3--- Make sure you end up with 4 buttons
• Create the Tweens for the movie short cut or this one (Day 3) This is the way I showed you in class. Farm Day 3
• Create Actions on your Farm to Stop the Movie on the first Frame so that you can click on a button to take you to the different animals.... When the animal is done playing you will use the this.gotoAndPlay(0); action to go back to the frame 1 barn. Adding Actions to the Barn Farm Day 4
• Finally.... Add your name on Frame one... Make it a Movie Clip and make it tween at least 30 frames... It could spin, fade in move in, scale ... what ever you want.

Menu

• Create a dining print menu for a theme restaurant.
• You first need a Theme, a Name and a Slogan and at least 2 items created In illustrator that you will place inside of your menu.
• Your mission is to come up with descriptions of each food item and creative names for the food items. 
• For example, if I used a golf theme, I might have the Driver Burger with Tees as the creative name and "Half pound hamburger loaded with tomato, pickles, onions, and our special green sauce. Served with tasty curly fries." as the description.  You can "enhance" an item (specify toppings, special sauce, etc.).

Magazine Cover and 2 Page Layout Article

Make a high Quality Magazine Cover, and one Article (that is a 2 page spread)

Need 2 High Quality Images on the front. One as main Focus and one as a sub article

Name of Magazine

at Least 4 Article> Make them pop> Look at Magazine covers to get ideas on how to do this... Make some words larger, bolder, different font etc.

Use the Character panel to adjust leading, scaling, kerning etc.

2 Page Article needs a creative layout and at least One main high quality Image> Article can be copied and pasted as long as it is sited.

Car Advertisement

Create an advertisement for a car (you must redraw the car in illustrator-NO LIVE TRACE)

Come up with New Tag Line
Make sure you include the Make of Car.

Pay special attention to Typography-USE YOUR CHARACTER PANEL!

Create a website: Add your lastname first inital to the DDWebsite Folder

Day1: Create a Banner in Photoshop... Export as .jpg (Watch video: How to Export Banner) Export into Image Folder.

Day2:

Set up Dreamweaver If you were absent or didn't follow this day> Watch Video

Save your Projects so you can put them on the web. We will want a thumbnail for the home page. We then will want to click on it an have it get larger so people can see more details. Thumbnails need to be 200px wide (Height does not matter) Larger one will depend on the program. See below.

• Illustrator Project Projects: Watch Video (200 wide small, 1000 wide large)
• InDesign Documents: File Export change to .jpg, Then take into photoshop and Save for Web> change width to 200 export as jpg. Large> File>Export, PDF Interactive or add interactive link...
• Animate> Watch video to export and add to your site..

Day 3 Add to Dreamweaver> How to add your Banner and About you

Day 4 You will add a minimum of 5 of your projects to the page. add your projects and titles

Day 5 Adding Links> and Editing the CSS Style Site to make it more pleasing... In the Main you may have to add one style in the style sheet
Open Resume and add to resume page-Add Resume

Make any necessary adjustments> Make it look pretty:)
